Munich has some excellent electronics and watch stores and my wife found a few jewelry shops off the main streets that had very good deals. In general, they seem to have better quality but more expensive items. If you do shop, look at trying to somehow show that you didn't use the item(s) over in Munich and try getting your VAT refunded. Alistair may be able to explain this better, but it is like US sales tax but it can be refunded on items bought by a visitor and not used/consumed while in Germany.

ADR recovery, especially cervical, lands you with lots of time to kill after you're released from surgery but before you'll feel well enough to fly home. Finding something fun to do to fill the time is well worth the discussion thread.
