Did you have a six inch muscle tear? What does the 2nd CT scan say? What I have heard is that it takes time to heal from surgery especially in the lumbar region. I was talking to my surgeon about recovery time in my upcoming surgery and he is hopeful that I will recover fully within a year. Did you do any damage to the nerve? Damage to the nerve will also take a long time to heal from. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for your reply my doctor said my nerves are fine that's what the CT scan reveal also I had a nerve test it just feels like when I'm trying to manipulate it doing physical therapy it's a discomfort feeling and I know this activ l it's new in the US. Also my Dr convince me if I get an artificial disc replacement I should be to work in 3 months after the surgery but I highly doubt it, also hope you feel better soon too

Hi,
So you had the one-level done in the US I'm guessing at the Texas Back Institute? I am considering the Activ l but I need two levels so I would have to go to Europe. |

TBI and others will do two levels. Just double-check with them and other clinics in the US. In some cases, the insurance may cover one level, and you pay cash for the 2nd disc replacement. This could be markedly less expensive than the German or OUS option.

Yes Checked into Texas Back Institute and they said that it would be around 14k for the additional disk out of pocket for Double Activ l I am still leaning at getting M6's but can't afford that right now.. plus in Europe they have so much more experience with ADR's to boot. I did hear good things about the Activ l... One UK doctor I talked to said that he has been using them for 11 years and has had no fails....
okay lets test my signature...
